What to Wear for Bikram Yoga

If you’re new to Bikram yoga, you should understand there is definitely a huge difference between “hot” yoga and the gentle flowing yoga you might be used to. Before your first class, there are a few things you’ll need to make your experience the best it can be, that without could make your experience not quite the best it could be.  Read on to find everything you need to make your hot yoga experience everything it should be in the most comfortable way possible

  • Carrying Bag with a Yoga Strap

Hot yoga doesn’t just consist of you and a mat. You’ll need a few other things to make this experience great, and having a bag to tote around your things and hold your yoga mat will ensure you’ve got it all. The Manduka Go Ready is awesome and will hold all the little things that go along with this particular branch of yoga.

  • A Yoga Towel

You are going to sweat. A lot. A yoga towel is one of the most important things you could bring to your Bikram yoga class, and if there is anything you take from this, take the yoga towel. The YogiToes Sweatless Towel is an awesome choice if you’re looking for something affordable that is super absorbent, sweat wicking, and quick drying.

  • Water Bottle

Staying hydrated is a must, and in a hot yoga class, you will need to replenish lost moisture more than a few times during your sequences. Make sure you’ve got a water bottle with you and that you use it. A lot! The Papaya Art Water Bottles are beautiful, BPA free, and completely recyclable. Stay hydrated in style with any of the water bottles in this inspirational collection.

  • Quality Yoga Clothes

Remember that in Bikram yoga you’re going to be pouring sweat. Really. It’s imperative that you invest in yoga clothes that are made out of fabric that will help wick moisture away and keep you dry. Look for clothing made of bamboo that will help keep you dry while you’re dripping sweat and diminishing toxins.
